2020 – Give Thanks in all Things

Giving thanks in all things sounds good, but what about in 2020?  We hear so much negative these days that we sometimes forget to stop, reflect, and focus on all the good things that have happened.  As we approach Thanksgiving, remember they can cancel Thanksgiving dinner, but they cannot cancel thanksgiving in our hearts.

Thanksgiving is a choice.  It is not a holiday we celebrate in November; it is a way of life we must choose. Psalm 118:1 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”

As you prepare for Thanksgiving Day, take time to think about how you have been blessed this year, and take time to thank God.  I’ve heard many say they have been blessed amidst all the gloom and doom of shutdowns, cancellations, and

inconveniences from Covid this year.  For me, I’m most thankful for having extra time to complete reading through the Bible start to finish; it has refreshed my parched soul.  I’ve talked to parents who are thankful to have spent more time with their kids and to children and grandchildren who are thankful for dedicated caregivers even though they haven’t been able to get into the nursing home to see their parents or grandparents.

We have an uplifting treat for you.  In this newsletter you will find “What Are You Thankful For
”, an article composed from material submitted by some of our friends in the ag industry who sent us their response to that very question.  Take time to enjoy it.  You will be blessed.

What Are You Thankful For?
Contributions shared by some of our friends in the agriculture industry

Recently, we sent an email to some friends in the ag industry asking one simple question, “What are you most thankful for this Thanksgiving?”  Following are their heartfelt responses.  Enjoy reading them, be blessed, and then ask yourself …“What am I most thankful for?”

Terry – Thankful that all of our kids have accepted Jesus as their Savior.

Haley – I'm most thankful for the time I had with my Stepdad.  He instilled my love for agriculture at the very ripe age of four.  He taught me to care for calves who lost their mom, for chickens I would show in 4-H, and for the land we were fortunate enough to farm.  We lost him suddenly this May and not a day goes by I don't think of him and the path he paved for me.  Agriculture and its professionals are the best kind of community, with the proof shown from neighbors planting and harvesting our crops.

Marrice – To know the God of the universe and to know he is in control, we are not.
