Food For
The Poor and Us!

Dave Allen President, AGRI-SEARCH
In 2019, AGRI-SEARCH is blessed to partner with Food For The Poor, a Christian ministry built on faith and trust that feeds hundreds of thousands of people every day primarily in 17 very poor Caribbean and Latin America countries. Whether in Haiti, Nicaragua, Honduras or elsewhere, they bring hope to
people with not much else to hold on to.
Each time we complete a placement this year, our AGRI-SEARCH team will donate enough money to Food For The Poor to feed one hungry child for an entire year in honor of the client with whom we are working. We invite you to become involved as well. Check out their worthy work at www.FoodForThePoor.org.
In American Agriculture, we take pride in providing food for a hungry
world. Partnering this year with Food For The Poor helps us deliver that food where it really makes a difference.

Featured Staff - Meet Jennifer Perrine
When you walk into the AGRI-SEARCH office or call on the phone, Jennifer Perrine is typically the first person you will talk with. A steady and positive influence as Office Manager on our AGRI-SEARCH team for over 11 years, Jennifer serves our staff, client companies and candidates with reliability and professionalism.
She was
raised on a row-crop farm in central Illinois as well as a large farm in the Mississippi River bottoms in Missouri. At every opportunity, she will climb in the tractor in the Spring or in the combine in the Fall.
Jennifer is very active in and passionate about her hometown. She’s lived in several places, but Arthur, Illinois, has always been home. She holds leadership positions with the Arthur Area Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Council, the Bourbon-Lowe Cemetery Association, and the First Baptist Church, and
she’s a member of the Arthur Lions Club. She volunteers at the Arthur Welcome Center. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University (GO Redbirds!) and an MBA from Eastern Illinois University (GO Panthers!). She loves to read, bake cupcakes, cross stitch, and spend time with her family and friends and their dogs.
We are blessed to have Jennifer at AGRI-SEARCH. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage the diverse operational needs of our business are instrumental in the ongoing success of our recruiting team.

Now What? Do What You Love!
Take a
moment to reflect on what has now been a long-circulating article via the internet and social media. Although it has a somber tone, it sets the stage for the purpose behind this month’s AGRI-SEARCH Update.
First, I was dying to finish high school and start college. And then, I was dying to finish college and start working. And then, I was dying to marry and have children. And then, I was dying for my children to grow old enough for school. And then, I was dying to retire. And now, I am dying … and suddenly, I realize I forgot to live …
We recognize that for some, this might be a little severe for what is normally a more lighthearted and thought-provoking newsletter, but as consultants who engage in conversations daily with hiring managers and
candidates alike, a common question has emerged more in recent years than ever before. Now what?
